UPDATE FROM THE DISTRICT:
School District 54 has been given notification that the community of Wit’set has initiated a lockdown procedure for a two-week period due to positive COVID cases in the community. The School District operates under Provincial Health guidelines and recommendations from Northern Health. At this time, we have had no requests from health authorities to limit student attendance at any of our schools. Therefore, students from Wit’set will continue to be welcome at all schools and classrooms during this community process. School District 54 has extensive health and safety plans that are being adhered to and we remain confident in its ability to provide a safe and caring environment for all students. School District will continue to support the community of Wit’set as we manage these difficult times together.
