Homework & Research Help page from Smithers Public Library

Students have free access to Smithers Public library including audio books, ebooks and magazines (via Libby) and databases.

Office 365

You will find Office 365 under the Resources menu. Access your email or H drive from home with your student username and password.

World Book Encyclopedia

You will World Book in the BC Digital Classroom under the Resources menu. While there check out the other great BC Digital Classroom databases! See library for username and password.

Find a Library Book using the Library Catalogue

  1. On the iPad click on Library
  2. Enter a keyword, title, or author
  3. Click the Magnifying Glass
  4. Review the search results
  5. The call number is in red

Here’s an example F RIO (FAN). This tells searchers, they will find the book in the Fiction section (F), on the Fantasy shelves (FAN), under the author’s last name (RIO).
