Dear Vendors,
It is our intention to run a smaller craft fair this year in order to accommodate COVID 19 safety requirements within the school building. Due to those restrictions, we have a limited number of tables which will be set up in a one-way flow throughout the school with one entry and one exit (see attached map). There are additional vendor requirements to meet the updated school health codes. See detailed lists below. As a host team, we will be limiting the number of people in the building at any one time. We are hopeful that you may still have an interest in displaying your items or products at the Smithers Secondary School Craft Fair.
Due to COVID 19 and the need to limit people within our building, we are only accepting registration with payment by mail. Cheques must be made payable to Smithers Secondary School. Postdated cheques will NOT be accepted, however if you need to withdraw, your cheque will be returned to you. There are limited tables available and the vendor list will be date stamped as we receive paid registration forms. Confirmation will be sent via email upon receipt of your application and payment.
School Responsibility
- Control entry/exit/ direction of flow
- Request customers to wear masks
- Limited tables to meet physical distancing guidelines
- Limit amount of people allowed in at one time
- Sanitizer at entry and exit and washroom
Vendor responsibility
- Vendors to wear a mask
- Each table must have sanitizer available
- Prepacked food items or disposable gloves used between customers
In the past, we have honoured returning vendors by giving priority to preferences. This year the date stamp will determine the order in which we consider all registered vendor table locations.
There will not be table numbers provided prior to the fair as there is always last-minute shifts that potentially have to be made. If there are special requests made regarding electrical needs, we will try to meet those needs. If on the day of set up your expectations have not been met; we ask again for your patience in allowing the organizing committee time to resolve any issues that come up.
We are looking forward to another successful event, seeing past vendors and meeting new and returning vendors. If you have any questions or are unable to participate this year, please use sss.craftfair@sd54.bc.ca or jgoalder@sd54.bc.ca to contact the craft fair team. We appreciate knowing whether you plan to participate or not for planning purposes.
We have attached the following documents for your review:
- 2020 Registration Form & Craft Fair brochure with the setup information, dates, and times of the fair
- Map of table locations, entrance, and exit, and direction of flow through the building
- Evacuation plan
Please note, that if health conditions or Ministry of Education guidelines change, this craft fair may need to be cancelled at short notice. Should that occur, of course, your payment will be refunded.
Thank you,
Craft Team
